Selecting Baby Clothing Sizes Can Be Tricky
Another obstacle many parents face when buying baby clothing is the fact that manufacturers of baby apparel don’t follow any baby clothing sizing guidelines. Your child may perfectly fit in a toddler size 3 from one manufacturer. A toddler size 3 from another manufacturer may be too small or too big for your child. Do you see the dilemma?
Then there are companies who mark baby clothing not by size but by months, or in rare cases, by weight. In general, infant clothing sizing is by months, like an outfit estimated to fit an infant who’s zero to three months old, four months to six months old, and so on. As what many parents learn early on, a child’s age isn’t really a good indicator of baby clothing size.
A lot of parents buy baby clothing from discount stores and outlets. This is because they know their child is going to outgrow the clothes after a few times of wearing them, so it doesn’t make sense to buy expensive designer baby clothing. It’s a sensible way of spending money.
